German Car Day 2024
WHEN: Sunday, Novemer 03
WHERE: East Perth Carpark
DURATION: 12:00PM – 03:00PM
ENTRY: $10 per car entered
Proudly hosted by Mercedes Benz Car Club of Western Australia (MBCCWA), this is a must-do event for any German automobile enthusiast as the club celebrates Oktoberfest in style with an autobahn-style scenic drive.
This year you can also order a German Car Day Picnic Hamper with sandwiches, quiche, Now Norcia Bread roll and a sweet treat (cake/slice). This is additional, booked in advance, and does not include the $10 entry fee – which is payable on the day.
Join the official Facebook event to stay across any updates.
The entry fee raises money to support our important work, providing much-needed funding to keep our wheelchair accessible fleet rolling. Thanks, MBCCWA!

Event Details for German Car Day 2024:
Where does everyone meet?
Participants will meet at East Perth Carpark (corner Nelson Crescent and Plains Street), entering via Horatio Street.
The event starts with a show and shine, and a photo opportunity. Sponsored by the City of Perth, this gathering of German car enthusiasts is a beloved tradition that has been rolling out from the heart of Perth for years.
Who can take part?
You don’t need to be part of a registered German marque club to take part. All classic and modern German cars are welcome.
What is on the agenda?
After a brief safety meeting, the fleet will get an official send off by the Consul of Germany and will head north to the final destination for the event, which is the forefront of St Ildephonsus’ College, New Norcia.
Further information and queries
There will be prizes for the best marques (judges’ choice), and a coffee van will be available on site during the morning meet up. Detailed driving maps and information, and an event memento, will be supplied on the day.

Celebration of the Motorcar
Please note the 2024 event has been cancelled. Keep your eyes peeled for similar events in future!
This event is in a class of its own…
Offering an upmarket exhibition of classic, exotic and prestige cars, the Celebration of the Motorcar is held as a charity fundraising event for Wheels for Hope.
These aren’t just any cars. The vehicles exhibited at this event are shown by invitation only, so you can see the crème de la crème of automobiles. Celebration of the Motorcar is well known for bringing Australia’s most beautiful and expensive collectible cars to Perth for showing – some of which have never been displayed to the public before.
As is customary, the upmarket atmosphere is be further enhanced by unplugged, live performances of classical music, with refreshments available on site as well.
Last year’s Victoria Gardens location offered a gorgeous backdrop for the impressive collection, drawing crowds from near and far for an afternoon of the best marqued models.
Fundraising with Wheels For Hope
In collaboration with key partners, Wheels For Hope holds a series of events each year which are huge fundraising opportunities for us. It’s only fitting that two of these are car-based, given the funds raised will help keep our fleet on the road.
We would love to celebrate with you at our events. All funds raised go to keeping our fleet running and available for our community – but that’s not the only way to help us out with our mobility mission.
If you would like to directly support Wheels For Hope, you can donate on a one-off or monthly basis, or contact our team today for more information about becoming a corporate sponsor, volunteering your time, donating services or goods, or sponsoring a van.
