Wheels For Hope Charity Golf Day
Wheels For Hope held it’s 9th Annual Charity Golf day at Joondalup Golf Resort in May, to help raise funds for Western Australian families with disability to provide wheelchair accessible vans.
The event was a great success with 60 players from 21 teams taking part. The event was sponsored by Wonderful Indonesia, Toyota WA, Fremantle Ports, Uber, MTAWA, Perron Group and Crowe Horwat. Following the Golf was a Charity Auction dinner where the winners of the nearest pin competition and longest drive were announced. Jodie Sparks the Foundation Manager was pleased to announce that Wheels For Hope raised $26,155 on the day.
The winning team on the day was team DVG with a score of 51.5. While the winner of the longest drive was Donna Nettle and the winner of the nearest pin was Paul Ramsay. During the lunch Barbara Rendell and son Joseph, who received a vehicle on March 2014 spoke about their positive experience with Wheels For Hope, and how the vehicle has given them the freedom and flexibility to move around a lot easier.
It was an amazing day for everyone. Wheels for Hope would like to thank all the sponsors for their amazing support, and of course the players and the dinner auction winners.
We look forward to hosting the next Annual Charity Golf day next year.
