Events: 2024 British and Japanese Car Days

Love cars (and helping out a local charity)? You’ll love this.

Block out your calendars for September 29 – British and Japanese Car Days are coming up!

These iconic celebrations are happening on the same day at the same venue (Carpark 8, Camfield Drive, Burswood) so you can attend both easily. British Cars & Coffee will start at 10am, while Japanese Car Day will begin at 2pm.

Both events are free for spectators. If you would like to enter a vehicle in the event, you must pay the $10 entry fee on the day. Too easy!

British Cars & Coffee

The British (cars) are coming…

With any British marque welcome to participate, the best of British will be on display. British Cars & Coffee runs from 10am – 12pm and is bound to feature more iconic British builds than you can shake a stick at.

Roll along with your BMW, Mini, Land Rover, MG, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce – or if you don’t wish to enter a vehicle, you can come along to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the range of beautiful machines on display.

Japanese Car Day

Celebrate the best iconic cars from the Land of the Rising Sun with Japanese Car Day 2024, starting from 2pm September 29.

Classic, modern, custom… Daihatsu, Subaru, or Lexus… All Japanese cars are welcome! Join WA’s Japanese car community for an afternoon of admiration, and help fundraise for Wheels for Hope while you’re at it!

Up Next: German Car Day

Continuing our round-the-world inspired events from right here in Perth, German Car Day 2024 will now take place on Sunday 03 November. Similar to British and Japanese Car Days, any German marques may be entered for a $10 fee.

German Car Day concludes with a collective cruise out to New Norcia. You can also book a picnic hamper in advance – this is separate from the entry fee, which is to be paid on the day.

Fundraising with Wheels For Hope

What does the money go towards?

Wheels For Hope is a registered charity in based Perth, and all our ‘earnings’ from events and other fundraising go back into our mobility mission.

Funds raised from Wheels For Hope’s events go towards keeping our fleet rolling – in a very literal sense. We have 40 vans in our fleet, all of which need to be maintained, serviced and insured in order to continue serving our community.

While we have some wonderful corporate sponsors, we also appreciate every ounce of help from the WA community to keep our vans in top shape.

Who benefits from Wheels For Hope’s services?

We help West Australian families by providing wheelchair-friendly transport on a loan basis. The gift of mobility can be life-changing for these families, allowing them to interact and connect with their communities, as well as being able to access crucial medical and remedial care.

How can I get involved?

There are several easy ways you can help Wheels for Hope by funding and supporting our mobility mission. The most straightforward way for individuals to help us is just to get involved – whether than means coming along to our events, or donating online.

You can also help (and treat yourself at the same time) by utilising products we receive a commission from. We recommend the Entertainment App – signing up using our link means 20% of your member fee will be gifted to Wheels for Hope. On top of that, you also get access to a whole range of savings on local activities, dining specials, vouchers, and more.

Corporate sponsors are also much appreciated. Whether you would like to organise payroll giving, donate a percentage of sales, or sponsor a vehicle, we would love to hear from you.
