Wheelchair accessible transport in the Goldfields
We’re furthering the reach of our mobility mission with our new program, Goldfields Wheels, as an alternative approach to wheelchair accessible transport for people living with disability in the Goldfields (WA).
What is Goldfields Wheels?
Supported by Tower Hotel and the Rotary Club of Boulder, our Goldfields program allows eligible individuals to register for, book and use wheelchair accessible vehicles. This makes getting to everyday essentials like appointments easier, but also means it’s easier to visit family, attend events, and enjoy all the region has to offer.
How does it work?
Goldfields Wheels vehicles are available to support anyone who requires transportation in a “transport approved” mobility device. Eligible individuals can register for the program by completing the Registration Form. Once registered and approved, bookings can be requested by emailing goldfields@wheelsforhope.org.au or calling 1300 922 115.
There’s only a $5 administration fee to book one of our vehicles. You’ll also need to refuel it before returning it to the vehicle hub, and cover any traffic or parking infringements incurred during use. Other than that, all you need to do is register, book and enjoy the ride!
